Information you provide
When you request a worksheet, the site currently processes:
- Your delivery email and one-time delivery consent.
- The entity legal name and responsible-party name entered in the worksheet.
- Worksheet answers for trade or care-of name, mailing and physical addresses, principal location, country, line 7b eligibility status, U.S. state/D.C. and territory routing tests, fax origin, formation state, member count, U.S.-organization answer, proposed classification, application reason, dates, employee estimates, activity, prior-EIN answer and optional return fax.
- The server-calculated line 7b result and phone, fax and mail route, plus the page, language and worksheet generation time.
The server assigns a lead identifier and records when the request was received. It also reads technical request information such as the IP address supplied with the request and the browser user-agent string.
The delivery form also sends a start time and an empty anti-bot field. They are used only to reject implausibly fast or automated submissions and are not added to the normalized lead record. Short-lived rate-limit counters use hashed IP and email keys in server memory rather than storing the raw values as counter keys.
Information kept in your browser
The worksheet saves a draft in this browser’s local storage so answers survive a refresh. That draft is not the emailed submission by itself and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser. The print view, fax-number selector, phone clock, fax-timing marker and fax-cover generator run locally; the cover generator creates its text and download in the browser.
How the information is used
We use the submitted information to generate and email the requested worksheet, send an internal lead alert, respond to a question, prevent abusive automated delivery, diagnose delivery problems and operate the service. Delivery logs record the lead identifier, calculated route and whether the customer email, internal email, Slack alert or optional webhook succeeded; the current application log event does not place the worksheet answers, email address, IP address or user-agent in that delivery-status entry.
Services involved in delivery
The current flow uses third-party infrastructure:
- Resend transports the worksheet email to the address you provide and transports an internal lead notification.
- Zoho Mail receives the internal notification and mail sent or replied to hello@einforeigner.com.
- Slack receives an internal alert containing the lead name, email, entity name, country, formation state, calculated route and fax, line 7b result and page.
- An optional lead webhook, when configured, receives the normalized lead record, including worksheet answers and technical request data such as IP address and user-agent.
- Vercel hosts the site and server endpoint and may process normal web request and operational log data.
Those services process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Their systems may operate in countries other than your own.
Site measurement
EINForeigner uses Google Analytics to understand page use and product events, such as guide calls to action and worksheet submissions. Google Analytics may receive device, browser, approximate location, referral and interaction information and may use cookies or similar browser storage. Browser settings and available Google controls can limit that collection, but disabling measurement does not remove information you intentionally submit for worksheet delivery.
How long information is kept
Submitted information is kept only as long as reasonably needed to deliver and support the worksheet, maintain operational and security records, handle correspondence and meet applicable obligations. There is no single promised retention period because copies can exist for different periods in email, Slack, hosting logs and service-provider systems.
When deletion is requested, we will review the active systems within our control and remove information where reasonably possible, subject to security, backup, fraud-prevention or other legitimate record needs. A service provider may retain limited residual copies according to its own retention cycle.
Your requests
You may ask what information you submitted, request a correction, or request deletion by emailing hello@einforeigner.com. Include enough context to locate the request, such as the email address used and approximate submission date. We may need to confirm that the requester controls the relevant email address.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the site, delivery routes or measurement tools change. The effective and last-updated dates at the top identify the version currently published.
