Added evidence, unresolved-intent guides and crawl safeguards
- Added guides covering whether a foreign-owned LLC needs an EIN, Form SS-4 lines 10–18, signature and Third Party Designee authority, incomplete applications and Letter 45C, and the phone-versus-fax-versus-mail decision.
- Published the International EIN Fax Routing Audit as a reproducible snapshot with downloadable JSON and CSV, neutral classifications and a documented correction method.
- Strengthened contextual links between preparation, submission and follow-up resources and added those resources to the guide hub and sitemap.
- Aligned trailing-slash redirects with canonical URLs, normalized structured-data entity references and added permanent automated checks for sitemap coverage, local links, metadata, JSON-LD and critical IRS routing facts.
- Published a concise machine-readable site guide for assistants while keeping the IRS as the controlling source for every consequential claim.
Corrected international Form SS-4 routing
- Published the IRS international fax route: 304-707-9471 when sending from outside the United States and 855-215-1627 when sending from within the United States, when the IRS international-applicant condition applies.
- Clarified that 855-641-6935 is the domestic fax number and is not the default number for this audience.
- Added the international phone number, 267-941-1099, its published operating hours and the March 2026 restriction that excludes a corporation or LLC organized in the United States or a U.S. territory.
- Updated the builder, server-side route calculation, customer PDF, English guide library, Spanish and Portuguese hubs, metadata and machine-readable guidance so a foreign-owned U.S. LLC is directed to fax or mail rather than the international phone line.
- Rechecked these details against the IRS Instructions for Form SS-4, the IRS filing page and the March 2026 IRS procedural update.
Activated same-domain worksheet delivery
- Changed the customer promise from an internal-only notification to actual delivery of the requested PDF worksheet.
- Activated hello@einforeigner.com as the visible customer sender and reply address.
- Added customer email, internal email and Slack delivery checks to the lead flow.
Expanded the worksheet and routing safeguards
- Expanded the builder from five basic fields to the critical identity, address, LLC, classification, reason, date, employee, activity and prior-EIN fields used across Form SS-4.
- Separated line 7b eligibility from fax routing and added both the organizing-jurisdiction and U.S.-territory tests required before displaying the international telephone option.
- Stopped collecting taxpayer-ID numbers in the website, added local draft and print support, and made the server recalculate the route instead of trusting a browser-supplied fax number.
- Locked the exact line 10 wording required for a foreign-owned U.S. disregarded entity requesting an EIN for Form 5472, and added conflicts for a one-member partnership selection or employees without a line 15 date.
- Made the fax-cover generator distinguish EIN Operation from EIN International Operation and aligned the PDF response-timing note with whether a return fax is supplied.
- Added same-origin enforcement, a honeypot and timing check, short-lived hashed rate limits and idempotent Resend requests to reduce automated email abuse.
Expanded the guide library
- Published foundational guides for applying without an SSN or ITIN, completing Form SS-4 for a foreign-owned U.S. LLC, and selecting the correct international fax number.
- Added focused guides for lines 7b, 9a and address fields; fax cover preparation and status follow-up; the international phone route; CP 575 and Letter 147C; and post-EIN next steps.
- Added a fully annotated, hypothetical Form SS-4 example and interactive tools for fax selection, a local cover sheet, the Eastern-time phone window and a four-business-day planning marker.
- Opened the guide hub so readers can browse by application stage instead of relying on a one-page site.
- Published substantial Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese hubs, each with a route selector and clear notice that the builder and delivered PDF remain in English.
Published trust and governance pages
- Published the IRS-first editorial methodology, including the source hierarchy, review process and correction channel.
- Published plain-language privacy and terms pages describing the current worksheet flow and its limits.
- Created this changelog for future material corrections and product changes.
